Mental Health is a growing concern in our society today. It’s a very personal and invasive phenomenon. Statistics suggest that 1 in 5 adults suffer from some form of mental health diagnosis (i.e. depression, substance abuse, suicide, schizophrenia, etc.) These statistics tell us that each us either knows someone close to us suffering from a mental health issue or are dealing with one ourselves. Being in the midst of a mental health illness, whether directly or indirectly, can be overwhelming. But there are many things you can do to help combat the mental health challenges that you and your loved ones may be facing.
Join Dr. Michael Diller (Wellspan EAP) and Bobbi Billman (Owner of Ignite) for a conversation about the challenges of mental health issues in today’s society, resources available, as well as things you can do to support your mental health. We will also share how yoga can be a powerful part of your mental health regimen – we will wrap up the class with a beautiful, gentle, restoring yoga practice that is accessible for any one regardless any prior yoga experience or physical limitations (so come dressed to do some gentle movement).
Class is from 1-3 pm. Cost is $15/per person. Pre-registration is required as a minimum of 5 students is needed to hold the class.
